Dreams are made of such acclaim! Recently we were voted the best property in Europe for 2008 following a survey of 160,000 visitors to the internet travel website Expedia.com. The nearest British rival is more than 200 places down the list of best places to stay.
This year we achieved an overall satisfaction rating of 97.79 per cent. It is judged superior to Bilbao's uber-chic Hotel Miro or to Berlin's imposing Hotel Adlon Kempinski (ranked 19th overall, 3rd in Europe), which looms over the Brandenburg Gate. Worldwide, there were only nine other establishments rated better than The Knight Residence.
Expedia.com boasts that it is the home to more traveler reviews than any other online travel site. Customers from America and Canada submitted critiques over the past year, covering nearly 80,000 hotels and resorts before the company's final list was published last month. “The Expedia Insiders’ Select list makes it easier for travelers to sort through thousands of hotel options to choose the best hotel for their trip,” said Paul Brown, president, Expedia North America. Superior Studio Apartment
This apartment is unique. Although named as a studio it is in fact a full one bedroom apartment, situated on the ground floor of the main building. The lounge area is slightly smaller than our other one bedroom apartments, so we’ve called it a studio to differentiate it.
Refurbished in November 2007, the apartment is furnished to a high standard in cool beiges with accent hints of green. The hallway leads to the bathroom, lounge and bedroom. The bathroom is fully tiled with bath, shower over, heated towel rail and hi-fi extension speaker. The bedroom has a double bed, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer, LCD TV with Sky channels and in built DVD player. The apartment also has an electronic room safe.
The lounge has a two seater sofa, dining table and a 32” Sony Bravia HD with cable box and DVD recorder. The fully fitted kitchen has integrated appliances including dishwasher, washer dryer and a full size oven and stove.
Fully double glazed and centrally heated, the apartment which overlooks Lauriston Street, has privacy voiles and fully lined blackout curtains.
