BRITAIN'S GLORY?

Instead of looking back over 2009, we'll put our best foot forward to this year with great promise and anticipation. A year of hope & glory? Well, in sporting terms there's always optimism for achievement, especially The Six Nations (I'll not say who we'll be supporting!). Then there's The Open Championship, this July in St Andrews and of course the return of Schumacher battling it out against Brits Hamilton and Button, to get the F1 season off to a good start. Not to mention The World Cup we'll still be cheering north of The Border.

In financial terms, there's mixed opinion but for better rather than worse, and the same too for 6 May - a significant date in this year's calendar where probably the latter sentiment applies!

Whatever you do this year, make it a winner and celebrate success at The Knight Residence. Your formula for a championship welcome.

Sweet Nothings

M&S will tempt you again this year to woo your Valentine with their now famous 2 meals for £10 or you might choose your own recipe for love (check this out www2.sainsburys.co.uk/food/mealideas ). If it's not too late, whisk off to Edinburgh for a special treat. Whatever you do, remember to whisper Sweet Nothings without them there'll be no kiss to start! Together In Electric Dreams

Well at this time of year, fitness might be on your mind. But for all you car lovers out there here's an alternative way to re-charge the batteries. Step into the new elegant Audi Electron. Powered by electric, this elegant beauty hits 0-62 in 4.8 secs. With oil prices on the up, this could be your dream cruiser for your next visit to The Knight Residence. Secure parking provided of course.

World Cup 2010

It might be a bit far to travel and costly too, so why not take in this iconic football event in the comfort of your own apartment. With picture perfect digital TV in every apartment and a fridge full of chilled beer (beer not supplied!) you'll never be far from the action and who knows this Summer you may be just as warm.

To win this month's competition, please answer the following question and email your answer on the subject header with A, B or C to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it before 28 February:

Question - Who won the World Cup in 2006?
A) Italy
B) France
C) Germany

And it's not just taking part that makes it fun! The first 3 correct answers received will receive an "Edinburgh, Capital of the North" DVD.

"Absolutely fantastic stay. This will be an annual experience and we will return with friends. Can't say enough about how pleased we are. We met folk in the city and the dilemma was, do we tell them about you or keep it secret? But it is too good not to tell everyone. I just hope you are not too busy to let us come back. Thanks a million!"

No, thank you Paul & Pat - see you soon.
